App Store Connect on iPhone · Companion, not a replacement

Already using the
App Store Connect app?

Apple's App Store Connect app is free, made by the company that runs the store, and rated 4.7 from about 15,000 ratings. It is where you check review status, move testers and builds around in TestFlight, reply to reviews, and get notified when something changes. It is a good management tool. AppMeta Pulse does a narrower job: money, subscriptions, and reviews across every app you ship, in Apple's own report terms, with your sales history kept after Apple's one-year window. It can't change your prices, builds, or metadata. You will probably keep Apple's app installed too.

How does AppMeta Pulse compare to the App Store Connect app?

They overlap on sales figures and review replies. Otherwise Apple's app manages releases and Pulse reads reports.

What each app is for
AppMeta Pulse: A dashboard. It reads Apple's daily Sales and Trends reports, the subscription reports, App Store impressions and page views, and customer reviews, and keeps every day it fetches on your iPhone. Its only writes are review replies you send and the analytics report requests Apple needs before it prepares impressions data.

App Store Connect app: A management app. Its App Store listing covers app status and App Store submissions, TestFlight tester groups, builds, and feedback, sales and trends, ratings and reviews, marketing assets for launches and featuring, and notifications.

If you need to act on a release from your phone, Apple's app is the one that can.
Price and sign-in
AppMeta Pulse: $0.99 a month or $1.99 a year after a 7-day free trial, or $2.99 once. You connect an App Store Connect API key with the Admin role, its Issuer ID and Key ID, and your Vendor Number. The key stays in this iPhone's Keychain.

App Store Connect app: Free. You sign in with your Apple Account, so there is no key to create, and team members can use it with their own App Store Connect access.

Apple's app is cheaper and quicker to set up, which counts for a lot.
Money and subscription numbers
AppMeta Pulse: Proceeds or sales, switched with the Show Amount setting, per app and across the portfolio. MRR, active subscriptions, trials, and churn from Apple's subscription reports, downloads net of refunds, and trends against the previous period or, once a year is stored, against last year. Amounts convert into one display currency at ECB monthly rates, as estimates.

App Store Connect app: Sales and trends information, according to its listing. The listing doesn't describe subscription metrics such as MRR; on the web, App Store Connect's Analytics has a subscriptions dashboard.

Both read the same Apple data. The difference is how much of it each puts on one screen.
Notifications and widgets
AppMeta Pulse: No notifications. 12 Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets for proceeds, sales, MRR, trends, subscriptions, and reviews, refreshed about once an hour during the day and after each sync.

App Store Connect app: Notifications for app status changes, new reviews, tester feedback, and featuring. Its listing doesn't mention widgets.

If you want to hear the moment App Review approves a build, Apple's app wins this category.
Review replies
AppMeta Pulse: Read, translate, and reply to customer reviews, one at a time or up to 25 at once, with saved templates. On iOS 26 with Apple Intelligence on a supported iPhone, the composer offers two English drafts written on the device.

App Store Connect app: View and respond to your latest ratings and reviews.
Platforms and privacy
AppMeta Pulse: iPhone only, iOS 17 or later. No ads, tracking, or third-party analytics, and no AppMeta Pulse server: requests go from your iPhone to Apple.

App Store Connect app: iPhone and iPad, iOS 17 or later. Its privacy label lists data linked to you, such as contact info and identifiers, and data not linked to you, such as usage data and diagnostics.

Apple already runs your App Store Connect account, so its label covers a relationship you have anyway. Pulse is a third party reading your sales, so check what it does with them; the privacy policy sets it out.

About AppMeta Pulse

Questions

FAQ

Is AppMeta Pulse a replacement for the App Store Connect app?
For most developers, no. Apple's App Store Connect app manages the business: app status and submissions, TestFlight, review replies, marketing assets, and notifications. AppMeta Pulse is a dashboard for the money side, with proceeds, sales, MRR, subscriptions, trials, and downloads across your apps, sales history kept after Apple's one-year window, and no controls for builds, pricing, or metadata. You can keep both.
Does the App Store Connect app show proceeds and subscriptions?
Its App Store listing says it shows sales and trends information. It doesn't describe subscription metrics such as MRR. On the web, App Store Connect's Analytics has a subscriptions dashboard. AppMeta Pulse reads Apple's daily Sales and Subscription reports and shows proceeds or sales, MRR, active subscriptions, and trials for each app.
Why does AppMeta Pulse need an API key when Apple's app doesn't?
Apple's app signs in with your Apple Account because Apple runs App Store Connect. Third-party apps reach the same data through the official App Store Connect API, which uses a key you create. AppMeta Pulse asks for a key with the Admin role plus your Vendor Number, keeps the key in this iPhone's Keychain, where it never syncs, and calls Apple's servers directly.
Can AppMeta Pulse submit builds or manage TestFlight?
No. AppMeta Pulse has no controls for builds, submissions, TestFlight, pricing, or metadata. The only things it sends to App Store Connect are review replies you write and the analytics report requests Apple needs before preparing impressions data. For releases, use Apple's App Store Connect app or the website.
Which app has notifications and widgets?
Apple's App Store Connect app sends notifications for app status changes, new reviews, tester feedback, and featuring; its listing doesn't mention widgets. AppMeta Pulse sends no notifications and offers 12 Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets for proceeds, sales, MRR, trends, subscriptions, and reviews.
How much do they cost?
Apple's App Store Connect app is free. AppMeta Pulse is a free download with a demo on sample data. Your own numbers cost $0.99 a month or $1.99 a year, each starting with a 7-day free trial, or $2.99 once for Lifetime; the App Store shows the plans in your currency.
